SALFORD CITY ROOSTERS' open age team will once again be members of the National Conference League for the 2018 campaign.  Our second team will be members of the North West Men's League.

 

WE ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT NEW AND EXPERIENCED PLAYERS TO STRENGTHEN AND ENHANCE CURRENT OPEN AGE, YOUTH & JUNIOR SQUADS 

 

PLAYERS OF ALL ABILITIES ARE WELCOME. 

 

IF YOU ARE AGED 16 AND OVER, AND FEEL THAT YOU ARE READY FOR A CHALLENGE TO PLAY AT CONFERENCE LEAGUE LEVEL OR THE N.W. MEN's LEAGUE, YOU ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US FOR PRE-SEASON TRAINING DOWN AT THE ROOSTERS CLUB.  PRE-SEASON TRAINING HAS NOW STARTED FOR OPEN AGE TEAMS.  THERE WILL BE A BREAK THROUGHOUT DECEMBER, AND TRAINING FOR ALL AGE GROUPS WILL RE-COMMENCE IN EARLY

JANUARY 2018.

 

MEANWHILE, WE SHALL BE RUNNING YOUTH AND JUNIOR TEAMS AT

CUBS (3-5 yrs), UNDER 7s, 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s and 16s.

 

Fancy A Challenge?

We are looking to recruit volunteers in all areas of our club including youth and junior coaches, assistants and administrators. We also need helpers on matchdays - either Saturdays (open age) or Sundays (youth and junior). No matter how small the contribution you think you might be ale to make, it will matter to us.

We are particularly keen to recruit the following:

 

Open age team secretary   Duties will include monitoring player registration details, pre-match and postmatch duties on the new Rugby Football League electronic registering system, and other general duties on match days.  Obviously the volunteer who need to be computer literate

 

Media/Sports Student/s who would be keen to test their skills with the composition of match reports for home and away games for the NCL team.   Promoting our youth and junior sections' match reports on social media (and this website) using reports supplied to them by our youth and junior sections.  Other skills would be welcomed - especially in the PR and social media sections.

 

Video operator.  We seek the services of a volunteer who could video home - and away games if possible - for all the first team open age games.
